Now you may have seen in the last post that there was a little blue room peeking out in one of the Foyer shots.
The front room(Living Room? Salon? Parlor?) and dining room are off to the right once you come in. They used to be that color blue (much punchier in person)
The front room was lit with rope lights, which meant lots of tiny screws to unscrew to remove the brackets and then pull down the rope lights. I spackled SOOOO much while Kyle (and sometimes my brother) was removing brackets.
We then waited for daylight to determine if we liked the color we had picked out.
Our original color was too light (see big blob) so I ran back to the store and grabbed the next darkest one on the little pamphlet.
Watching paint dry is totally nerve wracking, It looks absolutely horrendous until it is dry.
We painted the whole way around the room and then realized that we had not taped off the little inset there. Kyle and I looked at each other and were like "NOPE!" (It was 10pm two nights before we moved)
So, I just taped that off and painted the sucker yesterday. This is while the paint is drying, so excuse the uneven-ness and tape still on there.
This is our progress on the Front room and dining room.
My grandparents are so kindly giving us a large table to host our first "Friendsgiving" (Thanksgiving for friends) this weekend. Though we need at least one more table on the end to fit everyone! I'll post pictures of our dining room all set up for Thanksgiving this weekend!!
